Allouez Ave
Hazen Road to USH 141 (Main St.)

UPDATE: Thursday, June 20, 2024

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Northeast Region (WisDOT) is announcing that work will begin on Allouez Avenue, from Hazen Road to USH 141 (Main Street) in the Village of Bellevue. The roadway will be closed over the next few months to replace the pavement and add sidewalk throughout the project. The project will consist of grading, storm sewer, pavement replacement, concrete pavement bridge approaches, curb and gutter, sidewalk, pavement markings, signing, and new pedestrian crossing.

May 20, 2024 - August 9, 2024

Week of 06/24/2024
Vinton will have the 300-ft stream realignment work east of I-43 on the north side of Allouez Ave completed by the end of this week. Vinton’s pipe crew completed storm sewer outfalls west of the I-43 bridge early in the week. The 60-Inch diameter concrete culvert was finished Wednesday, June 26. Roadway excavation and grading will continue working east from Little Creek Ln to Meadow Park Dr into next week to finish up reconstruction of the road base. Martell placed concrete sidewalk from Hazen Road to the I-43 bridge along the north side of Allouez Ave on Thursday.


Week of 07/01/2024
This will be a short week with Independence Day work restrictions beginning at noon on Wednesday, July 3rd and running through 6:00 am Monday, July 8th. Martell will continue work on the west half of the project placing curb and gutter along the north side of Allouez Avenue and filling in gaps of curb and sidewalk at intersections. Vinton will address grading for roadway, sidewalk, and slopes throughout the week. The pipe crew will complete storm sewer outfalls east of the I-43 bridge that discharge to the realigned stream. Smith restoration will place seed and erosion matting on slopes the are prepared with topsoil to allow vegetation to start germinating over the long weekend.

Traffic Impacts
Allouez Avenue will be closed to through traffic with access for local traffic only. The posted detour route utilizes Lime Kiln Road, Verlin Road, and USH 141 (Main St).

There will be no through access on the project due to the grade differential at the I-43 bridge at times. Residents must access areas west of the bridge from Hazen Road and east of the bridge from USH 141 (Main Street).

2024

     

Pavement Reconstruction - Verlin Rd. - A-24 

UPDATE: Thursday, July 17, 2024

Construction consists of roadway resurfacing on Verlin Road between Bellevue Street and Lime Kiln Road, trail resurfacing along portions of the East River Trail and construction of new tennis/pickleball courts at DeBroux Park.

Completion of concrete work. Asphalt removal and start of roadway grading on Verlin Road between Lime Kiln Road and Seville Drive.

Continuation of roadway grading on Verlin Road between Lime Kiln Road and Seville Drive.

Road Closures, Vehicles & Traffic
For construction on Verlin Road, the road will be closed to Thru Traffic with a signed detour route. Residents who reside in the closure will be able to access their residence, but slight delays may be encountered due to construction equipment using the area. Be attentive of construction workers through the construction zone. The East River Trail portions will be closed during construction.

Business Access
Business access will be maintained as much as possible during construction. We intend to keep driveways open to each business at all times but may need to temporarily close one due to curb and gutter replacements. Prior communication will occur if access will be unobtainable. Please contact the Construction Manager if you require special access needs.


Communication:
It is the intent of the Village to minimize the amount of disruption and inconvenience to the community during any construction process. If during normal work hours you feel something went unnoticed, or needs attention, please contact Cedar Corporation @920-491-9081. As project manager, Cedar is most familiar with the daily operations of construction and can resolve many issues quickly.

If something happens after normal work hours that you feel requires immediate attention, please contact our On-Call Laborer @ 920-371-0744, and arrangements will be made to resolve the issue. As always, in an emergency, please call 911.

Utility Construction
Skyview Street and Vanden Bergh Place – B-24

 

UPDATE: Thursday, June 20, 2024

Construction consists of water main replacement and water and sewer service replacements to the right of way at previously identified properties. Upon completion of replacements of the identified sewer service replacements, all sewer main will be interior lined to enhance the longevity of the underground utility along Skyview Street. All roads will be patched with asphalt and all disturbed turf areas will be restored upon completion.

CONSTRUCTION TIMELINE
April 2024 - July 2024

Week of 06/24/2024

Completion of curb and gutter repairs on all streets. Once curb has been cured, restoration behind the curb will be completed.

Week of 07/01/2024
Start of roadway repairs.

The proposed project would involve improvements to the 0.7-mile section of Hoffman Road between Bellevue Street (County XX) and Monroe Road (County GV). The project is located on the west side of the Village of Bellevue in Brown County.

The proposed project would involve improvements to an approximately 0.50-mi. segment of Ontario Road between Eaton Road (County JJ) and the North Village Limits. The project is located on the east side of the Village of Bellevue in Brown County.
