Village Municipal Court
The Village of Bellevue Municipal Court is a local court with jurisdiction over violations of Village ordinances, including non-criminal traffic offenses. Ordinance violations are classified as civil offenses, not criminal offenses, and may include matters such as traffic and parking violations, property maintenance issues, and other violations of Village ordinances.
Municipal Court provides a fair, consistent, and accessible process for resolving alleged violations. Proceedings are presided over by a Municipal Judge, whose primary duty is to administer justice in a fair and unbiased manner. Individuals have the opportunity to appear before the Court, resolve alleged violations, or contest citations when appropriate.
Court Schedule
- Initial Appearances: 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8:30 a.m.
- Pretrials: Monday preceding the initial appearance at 11:00 a.m., by appointment only.
Bond Schedule
The Village Bond Schedule is a standardized list that establishes the penalties and forfeitures associated with violations of Village ordinances. It provides a clear reference for law enforcement, municipal staff, and the public by identifying the monetary penalties that may be imposed for specific offenses.

It is reviewed and updated periodically to reflect changes in Village ordinances, state law, and applicable penalty amounts.
