Firefighter Recruitment

The Bellevue Fire Department is accepting applications for part time firefighters to be placed on an eligibility list. Hiring is based on our current amount of personnel.  Full-Time firefighter hiring is completed when positions are available. Click here for an application

Minimum Requirements for Part Time Firefighter

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 18 years old
  • Valid unrestricted Wisconsin drivers license
  • Must live within the boundaries set by the Department

Bellevue Fire will sponsor new hires to obtain required training which includes the following

  • Entry Level Firefighter & State Certified Firefighter I (by end of probationary period)
  • State Certified Firefighter II (within two years of completion of probationary period)
  • State Certified Driver/Operator-Pumper (within three years of completion of probationary period)
  • State Certified First Responder - Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) (within five years of completion of probationary period)
  • Incident Command System (ICS) training 100/200/700
